There were no bunnies or rabbits on the day that Jesus rose from the dead, at least, the Bible doesn’t tell us that. But what if there was a bunny and that bunny could talk to us today? What would the bunny tell us? The bunny would probably tell us that on the day that Jesus rose again, they scampered inside the nearest tree because they saw a flashing light. Then they saw a woman, Mary Magdalene, walking to a tomb with some flowers. Now, Mary Magdalene was sad because she knew Jesus was dead. She wanted to visit Jesus’ tomb to lay some flowers.

Then, she saw a figure. She wasn’t sure, but she entered the tomb and someone heard someone say: “Mary”. She was in a daze and was confused. She heard the same voice before then knew who it was. It was Jesus! She wanted to touch Him but Jesus said He had to go up to His father who is OUR father in heaven first.

So Mary was happy again and ran all excited to tell Mary, the Mother of Jesus and all the other apostles that Jesus rose again. “He’s alive,” she said and no one believed her at first. But then Jesus appeared so many times to his Peter, James and John and of course, His mother Mary. Still there was Thomas who said that it can’t be. Thomas said that he would not believe until he touches Jesus’ body and feel the wounds in his hands and his feet.

One day, all the apostles were in a room all excited and talking about the amazing thing that happened. You see, it was the FIRST time that anything like this ever happened! No man ever defeated death, except maybe Lazarus, but that was because Jesus did a miracle and he too became alive again.

As the apostles were in the room, Jesus suddenly was THERE. Everyone saw Him, even Thomas. Jesus knew what Thomas said so he said ” Thomas, come and touch my body… feel my wounds, and see.. I am not a ghost”. Thomas was so ashamed at not believing so he could only say, “My Lord and my God”.

Jesus hugged Thomas and Peter and all his disciples and friends and said that he loved them. Most of all he said “you believe me now, because you have seen but blessed more are those who have NOT seen and yet believe”.

That means all of us who believe that Jesus rose again are MORE blessed than even His own apostles who saw and touched Him. That means YOU and I and everyone who knows this one bunny’s story that’s written in the Bible.
